(b) On December 19, 2006, William A. Halter voluntarily resigned from the Board of Directors
of Akamai Technologies, Inc. (Akamai or the Company) effective as of January 9, 2007. In
November, Mr. Halter was elected to serve as Lieutenant Governor of the State of Arkansas and will
be sworn into office on January 9, 2007.
